Looking Back

A month ago my dad asked me what I thought was most useful and most fun about my Cub Scouting days.

I think the most useful thing I got from Cub Scouting was the desire to learn a lot about a wide range of things. This has perpetuated into the Boy Scouts and then on into the present day.

The most fun was going to a Cub camp and shooting a BB gun nonstop as my dad did all of the pumping :) In the Boy Scouts, shooting, burning, and blowing stuff up was the natural continuation of this fond memory.

I think the main reason they taught us first aid was to protect us from what we did most of the time: shooting, burning, blowing things up, carving, and other destructive things. Ah...good times...
