When Cohen was born, I had the goal of nursing him for a full year. I wasn't sure how it would go, since he is our first and didn't know if my milk supply would hold out....but it did. Also, I wasn't sure if I could continue nursing once his teeth came, but it's been okay. We started on whole milk about a month ago before nap time and over the past month I have increased the milk and decreased the nursing. Last night was his final time nursing before bed. He only nursed for about a minute on each side....so....he's done. We made it the full year! It's amazing that our little Cohen is a year old. I'm grateful TJ works so hard, so I am able to stay home with Cohen. He has learned so much, especially this past month. He is super close to walking, he just doesn't have the confidence in his balance to walk on his own. He's climbing on and over everything. He tries to figure out how things work and once we show him how to do something twice, he's caught on and can do it by himself (most of the time). He had his check up this week; he weighs 21 lbs 13 oz and is 30" tall and he has 8 teeth.

That's awesome! I only got to 10 months. Alex decided to self-wean himself. I probably wasn't drinking enough water.
Good job! I only made it 5 weeks with my first and that was because I started pumping. The second was so much easier for me. Happy 1st Birthday Cohen!
PS. It's Juli. I just realized I was signed on Sean's account. Opps:)
That is so great! With Mattson, I was forced to stop cold turkey and that was brutal. Even at 11 months, neither one of us were ready.
With Brayden, he is now 13 months and I have no idea when I'm going to stop. I kept saying 1 year, but he's had a milk allergy...so he won't drink regular milk...yet. So, props to you. I'm so afraid to stop nursing, for fear of how much pain I was in last time.
Congrats! :)
