Our Dear Family & Friends,
As
we think over this past year, we realize how blessed we are. We have had some wonderful times we’d like to
share with you. Every day is an
adventure at our house with our two busy boys. Cohen and Raiden are best
buds and love playing with each other. We
have many wrestling sessions, building train sets, playing with the blocks and
reading books. Raiden loves music almost
as much as he loves food. Whenever he hears
music he starts to dance. Cohen enjoys
reading and helping mommy whenever he can.
The
boys and I love going on trips to see and do.
In
January, the boys & I headed over to Eugene, OR with Grammy & Grandpa
for my Grandma Bray’s Memorial Service.
We spent a few days with Great-Grandpa Bray before stopping in
McMinnville to see TJ’s parents on our way home. We also headed over to Oregon in September for a
family history trip with Grammy. We met
a Lowry cousin in Medford to scan photos and documents and talk family history
with her. We then headed up to Eugene to
see Great-Grandpa Bray for a couple of days.
On the drive we were able to make a stop at Crater Lake; it was such an
amazing view, well worth it.
TJ
attended the IMLA (Idaho Middle Level Association) Conference in Idaho Falls
over Spring Break. The boys and I were
able to go with him. While he attended
the conference, the boys and I found some fun things to do in the area. We visited the Museum to see Dinosaurs, got
to hold a black bear cub, went to the LDS Visitors Center and swam in the
hotel’s swimming pool.
I
turned the big 3-0 this year. Mom and
Scott came over for dinner. It’s fun
celebrating a birthday with Cohen. Soon,
we will start having separate parties, but for now he likes sharing a cake with
his Mommy. After many attempts and
setbacks, we finally got Cohen potty trained by his birthday. For Raiden’s 1st Birthday we got
to see all the grandparents within a couple of days. TJ’s parents had come over from Oregon for a
week. One day my Dad & Judie came up
from Arizona to deliver an entertainment center he had made about 20 years
ago. Then Mom and Scott came over for a birthday
BBQ & cupcakes.
In
July the boys and I went camping in Cascade with Grammy & Grandpa while TJ
helped with the CSI Science Camp for kids.
It was fun to swim in the camp’s pool, Cascade Lake and Payette River. TJ met us there for a night, then we headed up
to Moscow to see TJ’s grandpa who had been in and out of the hospital. It was nice to visit with other family that
was there and to have some time with Grandpa Crossin, as he passed away in
August.
TJ
has started his 5th year of teaching. He was able to get three $500 grants funded
through Sonic’s Limeades for Learning; receiving equipment for his classroom to
enable the students to have hand’s on science labs. In the spring he did a Science Club for the
students and this year is doing a Robotics Club for them. He enjoys being involved with STEM Education
and is currently preparing to present at the IMLA Conference in March.
In
October, TJ had a conference in Boise, so we all headed over to stay with
Grammy and Grandpa. The boys were
excited to go to the Zoo and see all the animals, we even got to feed the
giraffe. The boys and I were also able
to go through the Boise LDS Temple Open House.
It was a special experience to take the boys inside the Temple.
Tennille
continues to serve on the Twin Falls Parks & Recreation Commission and
recently started serving as a Bear Cub Scout Leader.
We
are expecting our 3rd baby the end of June. Cohen & Mommy are hoping for a Sister,
but we’ll have to wait to see if we get another brother or a sister this time.
We

I hope you have better luck than me in getting a girl! I just had to tell you I'm in cub scouts too! I'm a wolf den leader. Guess that's what happens when you have lots of boys:)
