Molly Lynn Adams
Born 28 June 2013 @ 1:22 pm
Weighed 7 lbs 10 oz, 20.5" long
What a beautiful joyous blessing she has been to our family. Both Cohen & Raiden are in love with their baby sister. She has long fingers and toes, I think she will be tall. I believe I will still be the runt of the family.
Her due date was Tues 6/25, but we were hoping for Friday 6/28 as Raiden's birthday is 6/21 and TJ's is 6/14. I had an appointment on Wed and asked to be induced on Friday 6/28. They said that would be fine. I was already dilated to 3 and 80% effaced. I woke up around 3 am Friday with harder contractions. We got to the hospital around 8:30 am. After listening to baby's heart rate and monitoring contractions for 20 mins, the Doctor came in to break my water. He was impressed at how far along I was. I was the last of 5 patients to be induced that morning and he thought I would be the first to deliver. TJ and walked around and went out the patio, standing in the shade. I was checked again at 11 am, dilated to 5/6 and 90% effaced. The nurse didn't think we would need any pitocin, so I continued walking around and standing while taking to TJ, my mama and Scott. I started to feel some really hard contractions, but they weren't consistent (I do have a high tolerance for pain). The nurse planned to check me around 1 pm.
So I sent TJ, mom & Scott down to the cafeteria for lunch about 12:10 pm. At 12:30 pm I asked the nurse if I could get Stadol for pain and that I felt like I needed to poop. She checked me and I was an 8! After talking to the Doctor, it was determined it was too late for Stadol. I would be totally drug free on this labor and delivery. We called TJ and even paged him over the hospital intercom, come to find out they went down the street to Subway for lunch!!! I said, "I need TJ, Baby's coming!"
Dr. Allen who was going to deliver, was with another patient, so the nurses paged Dr. Smith to come over from the office. TJ followed the doctor down the hall and walked into the room seconds before the Doctor, arriving about 1:05 pm. After a couple of pushes to determine how ready baby was and to remember how to push and deliver a baby, I had about 3 more hard pushes and she was born at 1:22 pm. The delivery was fast and hard. Thankfully I didn't need any stitches from tearing, so the recovery has been lots easier this time around. And I was the first patient to deliver that day.
Around 4 pm, after moving rooms to recovery, TJ picked up the boys so they could meet their new baby sister. It was priceless to see their reactions to baby sister. We were able to catch some of it on video and with pictures. I was amazed at how much love they had in their faces for her the moment they saw baby. Raiden was even calm and soft with her at first.
TJ came back over Saturday morning while Grammy watched the boys. We had narrowed down our name choices to two options and neither of us wanted to back down. Once TJ said he was okay with Molly, I wrote it on the birth certificate paperwork. All was well with baby and me, so we were able to head home that afternoon.

I love the name! What was the name TJ wanted? I hate when Sean doesn't like my names:) She's beautiful. Congrats!!
He was wanting Emma Lynn.
That's cute too. Wyatt has a lot of Emma's in his school.
