We Love Camping!

To celebrate the 4th of July, we went camping with some wonderful friends. We headed east to a US Forest Service campground to set up camp. Luckily, there was not a burn restriction, so we were able to have a nice fire. TJ & Trevor did a great job tending to the fire needs.

During our 2 night camp stay, we visited the largest cedar tree in the Northwest in an old cedar grove. This tree is huge compared to TJ and his giant 6'6" frame, or the six of us clowning around the tree.

We also hiked up to Elk Creek Falls and went swimming at the bottom of the upper falls, there's a nice swimming hole with a strong current. While we were in the water, it even started raining on us for a few minutes.

To celebrate the 4th we had some glow sticks and sparklers. We enjoyed watching the glow sticks burn in the fire and seeing the fun designs we could draw in the air with our sparklers. The best was when it got late and we were tired, we thought everything was funny as we played with our glow sticks. Enjoy...

I look like a giant in that picture. It's kind of scary. And Kyle....oh boy kyle!
