For a few of our road trips I have brought my knitting along. TJ looks at me, shaking his head and says, "let's go Grandma." My mom taught me how to knit and I actually enjoy it. I've made scarfs for the women in my family and little roses to give to friends. I started kitting a dishcloth, but the only time I make for knitting is road trips, it makes the time go by so much faster. We also enjoy listening to audio books on our longer road trips. We've listened to Among the Hidden by Margaret Peterson Haddix and Mariel of Redwall By Brian Jacques. I think our first book on tape together was on our way to Oregon for our marriage license, we listened to Dr. John Lund's For All Eternity. Most public libraries have free access to audio books, which is a fantastic resource considering how expensive audio books are.
